Job summary

New Life Surgery is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team. You will assist in the clinic and operating room, with two surgeons and two PA/NP-RNFA supporting care. Visit our IG @newlifesurgery_ to understand the practice and culture.

In clinic, you will take patient histories, perform examinations, discuss tests, and collaborate with physicians to determine treatment plans. In the OR, you will assist General and Bariatric surgeries and support pre/post-op care.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not required; training provided to new graduates.
• Valid state licensing required to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating room for General and Bariatric Surgery cases.
• Examine each patient, take medical history, and chart all medically relevant data.
• Read test results, interpret data, and provide diagnostic input.
• Explain test results and health outcomes to patients.
• Prescribe medication or therapy with physician oversight as part of a care plan.
• Collaborate with nurses, PA/NPs, and physicians to develop a full treatment plan.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! As a Physician Assistant, you will be expected to help in Clinic & in Operating room. Visit our IG @newlifesurgery_ to understand better the practice. We currently have two Surgeons and Two PA/NP-RNFA

1) In Clinic you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval.

2) In Operating Room, you will be assisting General and Bariatric Surgery cases. Also help in Pre and Post op follow up.

The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in OR for General and Bariatric Surgery Cases.
• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records
• Read test results, interpret data appropriately, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results
• Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes
• Prescribe medication or therapy with a physician overseeing as part of a larger health plan
• Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan

Qualifications
