Physician Assistant - General Surgery Practice

Salary: $90K-$120K plus bonus opportunities

Position Overview:

The Physician Assistant will work closely with our surgeons, providing high-quality patient care across a variety of general surgery procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Open to new graduates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and history-taking during pre-operative and post-operative visits.
• Assist with surgeries as directed by the supervising surgeon, including preparation and closure of surgical sites.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and interventions, as appropriate.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as labs, imaging, and pathology reports.
• Provide post-operative care, including wound management, patient education, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop patient care plans.
• Counsel patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, and recovery expectations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with practice protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing medical education and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
• Current and valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and handle a variety of patient needs
