Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team at Shriners Children’s Erie. This role supports our growing Orthopedics service by providing pediatric orthopedic care in a clinic setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to children with a range of musculoskeletal conditions.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call. The pay range is $83,549–$125,324, based on experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments, including histories and physical exams, under physician supervision
  • Assist in diagnosing and managing pediatric orthopedic conditions
  • Participate in outpatient clinics, initial and follow-up visits, and post-op care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, labs)
  • Document findings and treatment plans in the electronic medical record
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and home care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and institutional goals

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent
  • NCCPA certification required
  • Active PA license in Pennsylvania required
  • Active DEA license required
  • BLS certification required; PALS preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric and/or orthopedic PA experience preferred; new graduates considered
