We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing cardiology team. As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will work collaboratively with supervising physicians to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care and serve as an integral part of our patient care team.

Essential Functions of the Role

To be successful in this position, candidates must:

  • Maintain active Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credentials through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Hold and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with authority to prescribe medications commonly utilized within the scope of practice.
  • Be eligible to provide reimbursable healthcare services and maintain active provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Remain in good standing without sanctions, exclusions, or restrictions from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) or the General Services Administration (GSA) exclusion lists.
  • Maintain unrestricted medical staff membership and applicable clinical privileges.
  • Possess and maintain prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and medical staff privileging requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care and support positive patient outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
  • Active Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credential through the NCCPA.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One to two years of experience in cardiology preferred.
  • Experience in cardiovascular medicine, vascular care, or related specialty practice.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.

This is a clinical position requiring on-site attendance Monday through Friday. Typical work hours are between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on clinic schedules and patient care needs.

The Physician Assistant will work closely with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff in person and by telephone.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate medical and office equipment.
  • Reach, bend, and move as necessary to perform patient care responsibilities.
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Maintain the mobility and stamina necessary to safely perform clinical duties.
