Job summary

Kaleida Health's Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, NY seeks a Physician Assistant to evaluate acute patients, perform minor procedures, collect blood specimens, and collaborate with the Medicine Department.

Required NCCPA certification, NYS PA license, BLS/ACLS, and DEA or DEA-eligible with a physician collaboration agreement; prior PA experience preferred. This full-time on-site role includes weekends and on-call duties with a bi-weekly pay cycle.

Qualifications

• Active NCCPA certification and NYS PA license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; DEA or DEA-eligible.
• Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative arrangement.
• Approximately 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate evaluation of patients with acute problems.
• Perform specified minor procedures as directed.

• Participate in department activities as assigned by the head of Medicine.

Job Description

The Physician Assistant will be available to the private medical service to initiate the evaluation of patients with acute problems, perform specified minor procedures, collection of blood specimens, and participate in other activities of the Department as might be assigned by the head of the Department of Medicine.

Education And Credentials

Current certification by NCCPA, Current active PA license in NYS. Current BLS, ACLS, DEA or DEA eligible and 1 yr. of relevant work/volunteer experience inclusive of clinical hours. Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement.

Experience

Preferred/Highly Desired: 1 yr. experience as PA (i.e. neurology/NSGY) preferred.
