Job summary

Heart Care Centers of Illinois is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Berwyn, IL cardiovascular team, providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care alongside experienced cardiologists.

You will perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, conduct hospital prerounds, coordinate discharges, and educate patients on cardiovascular conditions while maintaining HIPAA compliance in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Physician Assistant license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, including history, physical examinations, and clinical evaluations for cardiac patients.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based standards of care.
• Conduct hospital consultations, daily prerounds, and collaborate with physicians to develop and manage patient care plans.
• Coordinate patient discharges in partnership with cardiologists, nursing staff, and case management.
• Provide timely follow-up with patients regarding test results, treatment plans, questions, and ongoing concerns.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely electronic medical documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
• Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment while supporting the mission and values of Heart Care Centers of Illinois.

Heart Care Centers of Illinois (HCCI) is a growing, multi-site cardiovascular practice serving the south and southwest suburbs of Chicago. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Berwyn, IL clinic team and provide exceptional cardiovascular care in both the outpatient and hospital settings.

As a Physician Assistant at HCCI, you will work alongside experienced cardiologists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while playing a vital role in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
