He works at a practice in Bay Shore, NY, with other offices in Babylon, NY, and West Islip, NY. He treats conditions like Ankle Fracture, Fibular Fracture, and Joint Pain among others.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join our Orthopedic team. You will provide comprehensive care, perform diagnostic evaluations, and develop treatment plans within your scope of practice, working closely with an experienced team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct history and physical exams, perform problem-focused evaluations.
  • Interpret lab and diagnostic test results to formulate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, prescribe medications, administer injections, and recommend devices.
  • Exercise clinical judgment, consulting with supervising physicians as needed.
  • Order and perform diagnostic procedures (blood work, EMG, ECG, X-rays, CT, MRI, bone scans).
  • Educate and counsel patients on health maintenance and community resources.
  • Assist in research, manage databases, and contribute to quality assurance.
  • Perform fracture management, including casting and wound care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program (Master’s preferred).
  • Current NY State PA license and registration.
  • BLS/ACLS certification.
  • NCCPA certification.
  • Infection Control certification.
  • Child abuse recognition course completion.
  • DEA registration upon hire.
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration ability.
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient care.

Salary Range

USD $66.55 - USD $90.00 /Hr.
