Job description

Seeking BE/BC General Anesthesiologist to join practice north of Detroit, MI

We are looking for a board-certified or board-eligible General Anesthesiologist to join our team serving a hospital located north of Detroit, MI.

Work Schedule and Environment

• Flexible shift-based work schedule with options for 9, 12, and 24-hour shifts, including blocks of days off
• Workdays typically Monday through Friday, with variations such as 24-hour plus 9, 12, or 24-hour shifts, or a mix of 12, 12, and 9-hour shifts
• Team of 2 to 4 physicians daily, supported by CRNA/CAA (max 4)
• Responsibilities include performing cases in emergent situations and supervising CRNA/CAA
• Peak days are Thursday and Friday
• Care team model with 2 MDAs and 4 CRNAs per day
• Mix of supervising and performing personal cases

Call Schedule

• Weekday call from 9 pm to 7 am, 2-3 weekdays per month
• Weekend call options include 24-hour or 12-hour shifts on Saturdays or Sundays, approximately once a month

Case Mix and Operating Rooms

• Level 2 trauma center, no open-heart surgeries; non-complicated OB (20-30 births/month), pediatric cases, general surgery (bowel resection, appendectomy, gall bladder), regional anesthesia, neuro, vascular, ortho, urology, trauma, nerve blocks, endoscopy, thoracic (few cases). TEE and Echo capabilities.
• Facilities include 5 ORs, 1 cysto room, Endo, Cath lab, and coverage for ER trauma, OB, and ICU
• 29-bed ER
