Job Opportunity: General Anesthesiologist at Colorado Permanente Medical Group

Colorado Permanente Medical Group is seeking a top-notch board-certified or board-eligible general Anesthesiologist to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and the Rock Creek Medical Office. This is a full-time, benefited, and salaried position.

Job Summary:

Administers anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures. Examines patients to determine the degree of surgical risk and the type of anesthetic and sedation to administer, discussing findings with medical practitioners concerned with the case. Positions patient on the operating table and administers local, intravenous, spinal, caudal, or other anesthetic according to prescribed medical standards. Institutes remedial measures to counteract adverse reactions or complications. Records the type and amount of anesthetic and sedation administered and the condition of the patient before, during, and after anesthesia.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Some of the key activities include:

  • Administering anesthetics during various procedures.
  • Assessing patient risk and determining anesthesia type.
  • Positioning patients and administering local or regional anesthesia.
  • Managing adverse reactions and complications.
  • Documenting anesthetic details and patient condition.
Required Procedures:

Procedures include airway management, vascular access, nerve blocks, epidural and spinal anesthesia, among others, with specific skills in adult, pediatric, and obstetric anesthesia, including perioperative critical care and pain management.

Preferred Procedures:

Experience with cardiac cases requiring TEE and related fellowship training is preferred.

Minimum Education:

MD or DO from an accredited ACGME residency program.

Licensure and Certification:

ABA certification or eligibility, Colorado license, DEA registration with Colorado address.
