Job description

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital – Methodist Hospital, which includes a state-of-the-art Operating Room and recently expanded services, seeks a full-time Anesthesiologist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an Anesthesiologist to join our experienced team and work in an excellent hospital associated with a major university.

Jefferson’s Methodist Hospital is 67% outpatient surgery and serves as a center of excellence for Shoulder and Elbow, Hand surgery, and newly opened Spine and Bariatric centers. We also perform >3000 Endoscopies per year and serve as a teaching center for ultrasound-guided nerve blocks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• MD or DO from an accredited program - required
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency – required
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology fellowship – optional
• Appropriate licenses and certifications - required

THE POSITION:

• General Anesthesiology – primarily outpatient surgery, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Neuro, Outpatient GI, Regional, Orthopedics including ultrasound-guided regional, Urology
• No pediatrics, trauma, obstetrics, or craniotomies
• Hospital-based position
• 1:6 call (from home), early day pre- and post-call day off
• Care team model – CRNAs are in-house 24/7
• Vacation package plus 7 paid holidays
