Geisinger Medical Center is seeking an anesthesiologist to provide pain relief and perioperative care. The role supports anesthesia and critical care management with responsibilities across acute and cancer pain, resuscitation, and post-anesthesia recovery in a shift-based environment.
Full benefits begin day one, with emphasis on collaborative care and patient safety. The position requires MD/DO, PA license, and strong clinical skills in procedures and patient management.

Trained to provide pain relief and maintenance or restoration of a stable condition during and immediately following an operation or an obstetric or diagnostic procedure. Also provides medical management and consultation in pain management and critical care medicine. Anesthesiologists diagnose and treat acute, longstanding and cancer pain problems; diagnose and treat patients with critical illnesses or severe injuries; perform direct resuscitation in the care of patients with cardiac or respiratory emergencies, including the need for artificial ventilation; and supervise post anesthesia recovery. Position works on a shift-based schedule and does not accrue PTO or CME days.
Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required) Experience: Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania Skills: Patient Care And Procedural Skills, Professional Etiquette, Systems-Based Practice
