Job description

Job Summary

Trained to provide pain relief and maintenance or restoration of stable condition during and immediately following an operation or obstetric or diagnostic procedure. Provides medical management and consultation in pain management and critical care medicine. Diagnose and treat acute, ongoing and cancer pain problems; treat patients with critical illnesses or severe injuries; perform resuscitation for cardiac or respiratory emergencies, including artificial ventilation; supervise post‑anesthesia recovery.

Job Duties

• Provide anesthetic care during surgery and procedural suites.
• Manage critical care situations, including cardiac and respiratory emergencies.
• Perform direct resuscitation and supervise recovery.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (required).
  Licensed medical doctor in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Certification(s) and license(s) as a practicing anesthesiologist.
• Experience in patient care, procedural skills, professional etiquette, and systems-based practice.

Benefits & Compensation

• Annual base salary: $500,000-$560,000+ depending on experience.
• Additional stipend for cardiac call and optional overtime at $275 per hour.
