Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school and active, unrestricted license.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology (ABIM).
• Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology from an ABIM-accredited program.
• Expertise in diagnosis and management of breast cancer across stages.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
• Collaborate with Breast Surgical Oncology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Genetics and other oncology specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor boards and treatment planning conferences.
• Engage in research initiatives and quality improvement projects; teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Promote high-quality, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.

The Physician Advisor serves as a clinical resource to the medical staff and Case Management/Social Work teams, helping identify, facilitate, and resolve utilization issues while supporting compliant, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

• Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
• Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
• Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology from an ACGME-accredited program is required
• Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with early-stage and advanced breast cancer
• Responsibilities include the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients utilizing chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and participation in clinical trials when appropriate
• Collaborate closely with Breast Surgical Oncology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Genetics, and other oncology specialists to develop individualized treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes
• Seeking candidates whose focus is on quality, excellent patient-centered care, exhibit professional demeanor, and promote collaboration in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects, while contributing to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor boards and treatment planning conferences informed by the latest clinical evidence and national guidelines
• WCI has been recognized by the Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Program (AAHRPP) for promoting ethically sound and safe human subjects research practice
• Candidates should demonstrate expertise in the management of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-positive, and triple-negative breast cancers
