Qualifications

  • Meet all state OTP licensing requirements, including Board Certification in Addictions.
  • One year of experience serving individuals with addiction (preferred).
  • Successful completion of required background checks and trainings (CPR, First Aid).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in compliance reviews and case consultations to ensure quality of care.
  • Prescribe and manage medication-assisted treatment dosages.
  • Maintain compliance with State Licensure Standards and company policies.

Merakey is currently seeking a full-time Addictions Medicine Physician to join our team in Philadelphia, PA 19131.

Merakey Parkside Recovery, located in Philadelphia, is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive services to individuals suffering from chemical dependency. We are designated as a Center of Excellence for Opioid Use Disorder. Our treatment philosophy is centered on a Recovery Model that believes all clients have the potential for improvement and recovery. We believe that people can and do recover from mental illness and chemical addiction. Recovery involves the whole person—mind, body, spirit, and community.

Our clinics offer Outpatient, Medication Assisted Treatment (Methadone, Suboxone, Vivitrol), Peer Support, and Case Management Services. We are seeking a progressive Addictions Physician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in compliance reviews, chart audits, and case consultations to ensure ongoing quality of care that advances behavioral health and medical services standards.
  2. Promote the integration of care to align with Merakey's goals.
  3. Determine appropriate dosage levels and select the best opioid agonist medication for clients.
  4. Prescribe, order, and discontinue medication-assisted treatment dosages.
  5. Ensure all physical examinations are completed, certifying each applicant’s eligibility for narcotic treatment.
  6. Maintain compliance with State Licensure Standards, accreditation standards, 42 CFR, HIPAA, and company policies.

Earn $250,000 per year.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Licensed Physician or Psychiatrist (BC or BE) in Pennsylvania.
  • Meet all state OTP licensing requirements, including Board Certification in Addictions or completion of an approved course of study in opiate addiction within one year.
  • DEA license.
  • ASAM certification (preferred).
  • One year of experience serving individuals with addiction (preferred).
  • Successful completion of required background checks and trainings (CPR, First Aid).
  • Have or obtain an X Waiver.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
