Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician to join our outpatient team. The physician will provide patient-centered primary care across all ages, focusing on prevention, wellness, and management of chronic and acute conditions in an ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate has an MD/DO, board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine, and an active medical license in New Jersey, with EHR experience (Epic) and a commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in ambulatory/outpatient care preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health records (Epic).
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state.
  • DEA license and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to a diverse patient population.
  • Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating referrals.
  • Promote preventive care and health education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health, and specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Unit Overview
