Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health, formerly Cooper University Health Care, is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician to join our Cooper Care Alliance team. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families in outpatient settings, emphasizing prevention and chronic disease management.

Applicants should hold an MD or DO, be Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine, and possess an active NJ license with DEA and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school and licensed to practice in NJ.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine required or preferred.
• Active NJ medical license, and DEA license with BLS/ACLS.
• Experience in ambulatory/outpatient care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; culturally competent care.
• Proficient with EHR systems (Epic) and clinical documentation.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.
• Interest in population health, quality improvement, or teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality primary care to diverse patients in outpatient setting.
• Perform exams, diagnose, treat illnesses, and order tests.
• Develop and manage treatment plans including medication and referrals.
• Promote preventive care and health education.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Practice Physician to join our Cooper Care Alliance team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages, focusing on prevention, wellness, and the management of chronic and acute conditions in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating referrals.
• Promote preventive care and health education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health, and specialists.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings.
• Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

Experience In An Ambulatory Or Outpatient Care Setting Preferred.

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of NJ.
• DEA license and current BLS/ACLS certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing culturally competent and equitable care.
• Experience with electronic health records (e.g., Epic).
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
