The University of Pittsburgh Student Health Services seeks a licensed physician to provide direct medical care to students, including acute and chronic conditions, travel health, and gender-affirming care. You will collaborate with CRNPs and clinic staff to ensure patient flow and adhere to infection control standards.
The role includes on-call rotations, outreach activities, and participation in AAAHC accreditation standards, with a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote) as determined
The University of Pittsburgh Student Health Services provides high quality primary health care, prevention, health education and pharmacy services to enhance student living and learning. Primary care services include management of both acute and chronic conditions as well as travel health and provision of gender affirming care. The Gynecological services include screening for STIs, provision of age specific screening as well as full contraceptive management. Psychiatric services include management of mood disorders as well as ADHD. Student Health Services is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), these services uphold rigorous standards of quality and safety, promoting a healthy environment conducive to academic success.
Provides direct medical care to students according to University standards of practice and general standards of health care and acts as medical consultant to clinic staff, health educators, and pharmacy. Collaborates with appropriate staff and medical professionals to plan and implement patient care and assists clinical staff to ensure patient flow. Applies knowledge and adherence to recognized standards of infection control. Participates in outreach activities.
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
