Comprehensive Ophthalmologist: Join a Growing Private Practice with a Clear Path to Partnership
Carolina Retina and Eye Care Institute
We are a well-established, physician-owned private practice with great reputation in the community, offering retina subspecialty care and comprehensive ophthalmology, located just outside Raleigh. Due to continued practice growth, and our founding physician’s desire to devote more of his time to retina, we are seeking a BE/BC Ophthalmologist to join our team in a full-time or part-time position.
This is a chance to take a leading role in a growing practice rather than step into a fixed slot. You will take over most of the existing non-retina care, while also working to build and manage your own comprehensive and cataract patient base, supported by a strong referral network and an established practice reputation. Your retina-related needs are handled in-house, so complex retinal cases stay within the practice, and your patients get seamless care.
Full-scope comprehensive ophthalmology, including glaucoma, dry eye, and general medical eye care
Cataract surgery, including phacoemulsification, femtosecond laser-assisted surgery, and a full range of IOL options
Optional medical retina: if you’d like to incorporate medical retina into your practice, we’ll support it with our existing imaging, laser, and injection infrastructure
Compensation and Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience, plus a productivity bonus
Full benefits package: [health, dental, vision, retirement, malpractice, CME, etc.]
Flexible full-time or part-time arrangements considered

Modern surgical and diagnostic technology
Efficient, well-run clinic with experienced clinical and administrative staff, so you can focus on patients rather than paperwork
Collaborative, retina-integrated environment with direct access to a fellowship-trained retina specialist

Active (or eligible for) North Carolina medical license
Strong surgical skills and commitment to long-term patient relationships
