OverviewWe are currently recruiting for an open attending faculty position in Hematology/Oncology at the Maimonides Cancer Center. We have particular needs in the areas of hematology (benign and malignant), gynecologic and genitourinary oncology, as well as sarcoma. We currently have an active practice group of 9 full time faculty, all of whom subspecialize in 2-3 disease sites. Call and consult weeks are shared among all of the faculty. Our Cancer Center comprises a 30-chair infusion unit, pediatric oncology and state-of-the-art radiation oncology all at the same location. Our fellowship program, consisting of 3 fellows per year, provides ample opportunities for teaching, and we have an experienced research team available for clinical trials support. We have multidisciplinary tumor boards in all areas of oncology with participation of surgeons, pathologists and radiologists.
Responsibilities- Out of fellowship or practicing MD/DO
- Graduate from an accredited medical school
- Graduate from an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
- American Board of Internal Medicine certification in Internal Medicine
- Board certified/Board eligible in specialty area; Board eligible physicians are required to sit for and pass their Board examinations at the earliest date possible.
- Evidence of formal, supervised training or clinical experience as required for certain procedures.
Qualifications- Valid and unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Valid license to prescribe controlled substances.
- ACLS/BCLS Certification
- Valid DEA Certification
- Demonstrated experience in area of specialty as set forth in credentialing requirements for that specialty.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Pay RangeUSD $350,000.00 - USD $450,000.00 /Yr.
