Job summary

WMH Alzheimer’s Support Group is seeking a physician to provide primary care in a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) at a rural VA health clinic. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, diagnose and treat chronic and acute conditions, and deliver high-quality patient care in a rural setting.

The role requires an unrestricted PA medical license, an active federal DEA license, and standing in the hospital medical staff.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted PA medical license in good standing.
• Unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license.
• Good standing as Medical Staff member of Hospital.
• Knowledge of professional medical theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care.
• Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Skill in applying and modifying medical principles, methods, and techniques; taking medical history to assess conditions.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
• Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance and effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards and react calmly in emergencies.
• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and communicate clearly.
