Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician to join the Cooper Care Alliance team. The role focuses on comprehensive, patient-centered outpatient care across all ages, emphasizing prevention and management of chronic and acute conditions.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality primary care, perform physical exams, order tests, and coordinate referrals while using the Epic EHR.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required with board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted NJ medical license.
• DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Experience in ambulatory/outpatient care and EHRs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating referrals.
• Promote preventive care and health education for patients and families.
• Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health, and specialists.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings.
• Adhere to organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Education Requirements

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

Experience Required

Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting preferred.

Experience with electronic health records (e.g., Epic).

License/ Certification Requirements

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of NJ.
• DEA license and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Special Requirements

• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• Interest in population health, quality improvement, or teaching.
