Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is recruiting physicians to lead wound care initiatives across Baltimore-area Skilled Nursing Facilities. This independent contractor role offers a true M-F schedule with no nights, weekends, or pagers, enabling an autonomous practice outside hospital systems.

Clinical autonomy and access to streamlined documentation help focus on patient outcomes and life outside the hospital. Training through CME and workshops supports transition into wound care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or equivalent.
• Open background welcomed; MD/DO license and DEA license eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and bedside wound care.
• Utilize advanced dressings and wound protocols.

Compensation & Benefits

• Average Annual Earnings: $220,000 – $250,000 (No earning cap as an Independent Contractor).


• High Achievers: Top performers earn $300,000+ via performance bonuses.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.


• Unrestricted/Clear Maryland Medical License: (Or eligibility to obtain one).


• DEA License (or eligibility to obtain one)


• Open Background: We welcome Surgeons of all backgrounds, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive specialty training.
