Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Plantsville, CT is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Technician to support licensed therapists and front desk tasks. The role offers 20-30 hours per week and pay of $16.94 per hour.

You will help prepare treatment areas, assist patients, maintain equipment, and uphold HIPAA confidentiality in a patient‑focused team. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College coursework in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Biology, or healthcare-related field preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a healthcare or physical therapy career is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with equipment setup.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas before and after patient visits.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms and assist with patient flow.
• Assist patients on and off therapy and exercise equipment.
• Demonstrate exercises and equipment use as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Set up and put away treatment equipment.
• Clean and disinfect treatment tables, equipment, and therapy areas throughout the day.
• Assist with patient preparation before treatment sessions.
• Monitor clinic supplies and help maintain inventory.
• Complete laundry and linen duties; help maintain therapy equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with patient scheduling and front desk support when needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.

What You'll Do
