Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a front desk associate to greet visitors, assist with check-in and check-out, and keep therapists on schedule. You will schedule appointments, use the Practice Management System, verify insurer eligibility, collect co-pays, and provide outstanding patient service.

A high school diploma and at least one year of customer service or reception experience are required; healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Short Description

• Greets visitors and assists them during check-in, intake and check-out
• Provides outstanding customer service
• Keeps Therapists on track and assists with exercise/therapy practices
• Schedules appointments and records information in Practice Management System ( Electronic Scheduling System)
• Answers telephone calls and routes appropriately
• Verifies insurance eligibility, ensures requirements are met and explains to patients as needed
• Collects co-pays
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent

Special Requirements

• One year of experience in customer service or reception, health care environment preferred
• Prior Exercise therapy experience or training/certification
• Computer experience preferred, Interpersonal skills must be well-developed
