Job description

Assist in the provision of patient care and related activities under the direct, onsite supervision of a physical/occupational therapist and/or a physical therapist assistant, as permitted by state or payor regulation. Handle front office duties, including answering phones, taking payments, and scheduling patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the licensed provider with patient care and related activities.
• Report all treatment procedures performed as delegated and directly to the PT/OT and/or the PTA.
• Assist with routine cleaning, maintenance, and support operations of the clinic’s physical plant, patient care equipment, and supplies.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, training, and instruction requirements, as well as other healthcare standards.
• Carry out duties as designated by the Clinic Director.
• Assist with front office functions, including collecting co-pays, answering phones, and scheduling patients.
• Maintain basic computer skills.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships with therapists and patients.
• Understand medical/surgical terminology.
