Job summary

Spero Rehab in the Austin and Houston area is seeking a motivated, compassionate Physical Therapy Technician to support therapists and help patients feel empowered in their recovery. This role offers hands-on clinical experience that strengthens your foundation for future PT or OT school, with direct exposure to patient care, functional exercise, and outpatient clinic operations.

You will be mentored by clinicians, work in a collaborative team, and have opportunities to participate in community

Qualifications

• Interested in physical or occupational therapy.
• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Experience in healthcare, fitness, or customer service, preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist PTs and OTs with patient care under supervision.
• Guide patients through exercises.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment.
• Maintain clinic organization, supplies, and laundry.
• Support front desk tasks as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented environment.
• Participate in community outreach, events, or relationship‑building activities that support clinic growth, brand awareness, or community engagement.

Physical Therapy Technician

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and energetic Therapy Technician who’s excited to support our therapists and help patients feel empowered in their recovery. This role offers hands‑on clinical experience that strengthens your foundation for future PT or OT school, giving you direct exposure to patient care, functional exercise, and the day‑to‑day flow of an outpatient clinic. We believe our techs are the next generation of therapists, and we’re passionate about mentoring them as they prepare for PT or OT school.

Responsibilities

• Assist PTs and OTs with patient care under supervision
• Guide patients through exercises
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment
• Maintain clinic organization, supplies, and laundry
• Support front desk tasks as needed
• Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented environment
• Participate, as requested and with reasonable notice, in community outreach, local events, patient education, employer/school outreach, or relationship‑building activities that support clinic growth, brand awareness, and community engagement. Frequency may vary by market, business need, and role.
