Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo seeks a Tech - Physical Therapy Tech to support therapists and patients across age groups. The role focuses on preparing and cleaning treatment areas, transporting patients, and assisting with treatment plans under supervision.

You will maintain inventory, handle routine clerical tasks, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient care. High school diploma and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from Physical Medicine.
• Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
• Communicates with patient, family, caregivers, significant other and members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefit of care.
• Maintains hydrotherapy areas and schedules and assures that appropriate inventories are maintained for wound care.
• Obtains equipment, materials and supplies from storage areas or appropriate department, and prepares them for use.
• Maintains the department in a clean and orderly conditions.
