Job summary

The University of Michigan’s Physical Therapy department is seeking student temp lab assistants to help with lab set up, cleaning, and organization for the Fall 2026 through Fall 2027 period. Two positions exist, one for Year 1 and one for Year 2 DPT students.

These roles focus on lab preparation and organization with no instructional responsibilities, and are onsite at UM-Flint. Start timing aligns with the Fall 2026 semester, and employment extends through Fall 2027, pending departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be enrolled at UM-Flint in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Candidates must be in Year 1 or Year 2 of the DPT program at UM-Flint in the 2026 Fall semester.
• Candidates must be in good academic standing with the University of Michigan-Flint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare physical therapy laboratories for lab sections including, but not limited to: room set up and break down
• Disposal of consumable supplies
• Set up and storage of appropriate equipment, inventory and prepare needed list of supplies
• Prepare laundry for delivery/pick up for vendor
• Organize storage closets as needed
• Effectively communicate with faculty members regarding necessary lab set up.
