UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support rehabilitation under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will provide group and individual treatments to improve neuromuscular and functional abilities, educate patients on exercises and compensatory strategies, and assist with discharge planning as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications include an Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PTA program,
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Hiring Range: $25.83 - $38.36

Under supervision of Physical Therapist, assists in all activities involved in rehab of patients with physical dysfunction. Performs treatments to alleviate physical dysfunction using manual, functional and physical agent modality techniques. Participates in departmental activities to assure smooth operations and facilitate program enhancement.
All responsibilities are essential job functions.
License/Certification/Education:
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
