What does a RousePTA do?
· Provides PT services under the supervision and direction of PT who is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
· Communicates and coordinates treatment functions with other disciplines in a constructive manner that helps build team effectiveness and cooperation.
· Communicates with PT and DOR regarding department programs, goals, objectives, problems, and successes.
· Promotes a safe working environment and works to eliminate fire and safety hazards broken or defective equipment supplies.
· Participates in Care Plan, Interdisciplinary Rehab and Department meetings as appropriate.
· Participates in educational in-services/programs regarding occupational therapy to staff, residents, and the community at large.
· Ensures cleanliness of department and facilities per infection control policies and procedures.
· Participates in facility/department QA/TQI programs as appropriate.
· Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, & monitoring of resident progress.
· Adheres to professional, ethical, & legal standards of practice.
· Enhances therapy department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
· Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
· Performs other duties as assigned .
