Job summary

AccentCare is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to work full-time in Paulding County, GA. You will support a licensed Physical Therapist, manage a caseload, educate patients and families, and maintain documentation per policy.

You must have an Associate degree in Physical Therapy, active licensure, CPR certification, and the ability to travel to multiple locations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification.
• Must have a valid license/registration to practice in the state of agency operation.
• Must be a licensed driver capable of traveling to all business locations.
• Ability to educate patients and families in home safety and medical equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and document treatment per physician orders and agency policies.
• Document interventions, approaches and treatment priorities.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.
• Present patient information to supervising therapist and keep the team informed.
• Provide skilled treatment within agency and payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with team in planning and intervention.
• Complete daily notes and forms timely to prevent interruptions in care.
• Meet productivity standards and participate in meetings.
• Negotiate patient participation in treatment and scheduling.
