Job summary

ADMIN PRN Therapy in Yuba City, CA is seeking a focused Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver PT services under the supervision of a licensed therapist and per the physician's plan of care. This role supports patient rehabilitation in a home health setting.

The ideal candidate has PTA credential, current CPR, valid state licensure, and a reliable, insured vehicle. Strong communication and teamwork with therapists and home care staff are essential to help patients regain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate degree approved by APTA.
• Must hold and maintain current CPR certification.
• Current licensure or certification as required by state law.
• Must be a licensed driver with an insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
• Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
• Utilizes physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
• Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
