Physical Therapy Assistant-Rehab-Per Diem-Day-Mount Sinai Queens

Provides treatment according to a plan developed by and under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, maintains communication with the physical therapist regarding patient plan of care, documents appropriately and maintains their own statistics.

Responsibilities

  • Implements treatment programs to assigned patients, based on the treatment plan established by the physical therapist.
  • Assumes responsibility for all documentation requirements in a timely manner.
  • Provides feedback to the physical therapist on a regular basis, indicating the patient's progress in treatment. Coordinates with other disciplines as needed.
  • Pro-actively alerts physical therapist regarding changes in patient condition.
  • Recommends appropriate durable medical equipment in coordination with appropriate team members.
  • Participates in discharge planning, makes recommendations in discussion with physical therapist for continued physical therapy.
  • Attends all appropriate conferences, rounds, in-services and meetings.
  • Attends clinics as assigned.
  • Participates in supervision of PTA students on clinical affiliations.
  • Must be a current member of the APTA.
  • Must follow all MSH policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $32.2922 - $38.1694 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
