Schedule:
  • Out-patient (Monday – Friday); Clinic hours are M-Th 7a-7p, Fri 7a-5p
  • Per diem hours (preferably at least 2-3 days a week)

  • 360 Birnie Avenue, Springfield, MA

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, performs activities to assist in patient treatment, executes established care plans, and communicates patient status changes promptly. Adheres to safety standards and policies to ensure effective and safe patient care. Performs other duties as assigned, with management rights to modify responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provides treatment and follow-up for inpatient and outpatient clients, delivering age-appropriate care across all age groups.
  2. Applies treatment plans within established protocols and timeframes.
  3. Completes documentation for consultations, progress, and reports in compliance with standards.
  4. Provides information to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams involved in patient care.
  5. Handles operational procedures including scheduling, billing, equipment use, and caseload management.
  6. Demonstrates clinical skills relevant to patient treatment.
  7. Meets productivity standards set by the department.
  8. Maintains a safe, clean working environment by following protocols.
  9. Adheres to infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
  10. Shares knowledge gained from continuing education through training and community programs.
  11. Assists with orientation and training of student interns.
