Sigma Health Rehab in Warren Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Queensbury, NY, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant for a Skilled Nursing Facility. The PTA will work under the supervising PT to implement the plan of care and support resident mobility and function.

Ideal candidates are licensed NY PTAs with SNF or geriatric experience; new grads with fieldwork are welcome to apply. Competitive benefits and supportive mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current New York State PTA license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new graduates with relevant fieldwork encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques such as stretching, massage, and assisted exercises.
• Maintain resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team.
