Job summary

Reedy River Post Acute in Greenville, SC is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for PRN coverage. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver skilled therapy aimed at improving mobility, strength, function, and independence for residents.

The role requires licensure as a South Carolina PTA and prior experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation; PCC and Casamba familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Experience with PCC and Casamba preferred.
• Strong communication, clinical, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans according to physician orders and therapy goals.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
• Document treatment sessions, resident responses, and progress notes accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes.
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education; participate in care conferences and team meetings as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Support residents in achieving their highest level of function and independence.

Position Summary

Licenses & Certifications

• Current South Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing
• Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
• Must remain in good standing with the State Board
