• Completes daily documentation and coordinates treatment with the PT.
• Communicates patient progress and treatment recommendations to referring providers.
• Maintains compliance with documentation policies and continuing education requirements.

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
• Board eligible with successful completion of board exams and ongoing continuing education, especially for acute stroke care

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods
• Follows and adjusts the therapist’s plan of care based on patient response, with proper communication and documentation
