Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Experience delivering physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Experience working with orthopedic and musculoskeletal patients preferred.
Experience in outpatient clinical environments is strongly preferred.
License/Certification:
Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by any U.S. state or territory.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).
Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Responsibilities
Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and mobility activities.
Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
Prepare treatment areas and ensure proper use of therapy equipment.
Document treatment sessions accurately in the electronic health record.
Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment.
Support clinic operations by adhering to established schedules, policies, and procedures.
