Overview
This position is with Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH) in our Glastonbury, CT Outpatient Rehab Clinic with the potential to float to other clinics as necessary. Clinic locations may include: Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Manchester, Plainville, and Rocky Hill.
Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists in performing assessments, determining, revising and implementing treatment plan in order to identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) utilizes treatment skills and tools in order to measure and assess patient needs, therapeutic application of physical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence.
