Job summary

Southcoast Health in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for the Outpatient Pediatric Rehab department. This per diem role supports patient care across day and evening shifts, with weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation; hours TBD.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy and a valid Massachusetts PTA license, with CPR certification and vaccination against influenza and COVID-19.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Current Massachusetts license as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform patient care tasks to support Rehabilitation Services.
• Assist with pediatric outpatient therapy sessions and administrative tasks as assigned.

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under direction of individually assigned Team Leader, Rehabilitation Services or Designee, perform a variety of patient care and related duties within and in support of the Rehabilitation Services Department.

• An Associates Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current Massachusetts license as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• One (1) year of experience is preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
