Job Details

Position: Physical Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility at Champion Care, Madison, Wisconsin.

Type: PRN (as needed)

Pay Range: $35.00/hr (fixed)

Job Purpose

Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Physical Therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care, adhering to all applicable standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide physical therapy services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  2. Conduct resident screenings and assist in evaluations.
  3. Help develop and implement treatment plans with goals.
  4. Perform individual and group treatments including muscle strength, mobility, balance, gait, and modalities.
  5. Assist in selecting techniques/media and adapt activities as needed.
  6. Monitor residents' responses and consult with Physical Therapists for modifications.
  7. Establish and modify resident schedules in collaboration with the team.
  8. Train residents, families, and staff on equipment use.
  9. Participate in educational activities and ensure proper documentation in EMR systems.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Wisconsin Physical Therapy Assistant license.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
