About the Role

Empath Home Health, part of Empath Health, is seeking a PRN Home Health PTA. The PTA assists the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy services to help patients regain or maintain their optimal level of functioning.

Location and Schedule

Locations: Home health visits available in Sarasota County

Schedule: PRN

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services in accordance with agency policies, federal and state regulations, and the plan of care, under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating equipment needs to enhance patient function.
• Educate patients and their families on self-care methods and techniques to improve or maintain functioning.

Requirements

• Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Florida licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• At least one (1) year of experience as a licensed PTA.
• Home health care experience preferred.
