• At least 1 year of PTA experience, preferably in home health.

Our Home Health Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) are vital to our organization. In this role, you will support patients through direct care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure an optimal care experience for both patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy according to the physical therapist's directions and the physician’s plan of care.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
• Instruct patients on the use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
• Observe and report patient reactions and condition changes to the physical therapist.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CAPTE-approved physical therapy assistant program with current licensure.
• At least 1 year of PTA experience.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
