Job Summary

This position will work in Haverhill, Methuen, and Newburyport.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will treat patients requiring physical therapy under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include reviewing patient evaluations, conducting physical examinations, recommending courses of action, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.

Essential Functions
  1. Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data and provide results to physical therapists.
  2. Fit patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, or supportive devices as needed.
  3. Instruct patients and their families in exercises and equipment use.
  4. Clean work areas and check and store equipment after treatments.
  5. Discuss and evaluate patient information with the physical therapy team for treatment planning.
  6. Document treatments and notes as needed.
Qualifications
Education

Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant is required.

Licenses and Credentials

Physical Therapist Assistant [State License], Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License], Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] (preferred).

Experience

Internship or apprenticeship experience is preferred.
