Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. A $3,000 Sign-On Bonus is offered for this position.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited PTA program with a NY PTA license. Experience in geriatric or SNF settings is preferred, but new graduates with fieldwork are encouraged to apply. This role supports therapists and helps patients regain independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new grads with fieldwork invited.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team.

Sigma Health Rehab is excited to offer a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position to join our team of skilled therapists in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

PTA Requirements Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:
