Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. We offer a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PTA program with a NY license, and experience in geriatric care is preferred. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting preferred; new grads with fieldwork experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist residents with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team.
