We are offering a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus for this position.

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Candidates must have a current New York State PTA License.

PTA Duties Include:

  1. Measuring & recording resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
  2. Observe Residents and write progress reports.
  3. Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
  4. Treat Residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage.
  5. Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
  6. Educate Residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
  7. Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
  8. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
  9. Contributes to the team effort.

PTA Requirements Include:

  1. A graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
  2. Current New York State PTA License.
  3. Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.
