Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

This position requires a valid NYS Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.

Duties of an exceptional Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) include:

  • Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist
  • Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance
  • Observe and document on resident performance
  • Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises
  • Maintain resident confidence by keeping information confidential
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contribute to team effort

PTA Requirements Include:

  • A graduate of an accredited PTA Program
  • Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
