Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Winchester, Massachusetts.

Provide skilled physical therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized physical therapy plans of care based on patient needs and established treatment goals.
Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, strengthening activities, balance training, and other interventions within the PTA scope of practice.
Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Measure and document patient progress related to mobility, strength, motor function, balance, and overall physical performance.
Assist residents with improving functional mobility, transfers, ambulation, and activities of daily living as appropriate.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment activities and safe mobility techniques in collaboration with the Physical Therapist.
Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress and needs.
Complete all required clinical documentation accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.
Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Participate in required meetings, in-services, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare setting is preferred.

Knowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques and rehabilitation practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with residents with varying physical abilities and needs.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
Familiarity with Net Health or other electronic medical record/documentation systems is preferred.
Current and active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts.
License must be in good standing with the applicable licensing board.
Ability to provide safe, effective, and compassionate resident care.
Must meet all applicable employment and regulatory requirements.
$32–$42 per hour
