Job summary

Southview Acres Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in West St. Paul, Minnesota.

The PTA will provide quality therapy under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist, supporting evaluation processes and assisting in setting short- and long-term goals and treatment plans. Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy, have passed the NPTAE, and currently hold (or are eligible for) Minnesota PTA licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful passage of the National Physical Therapy Assistant Examination (NPTAE).
• Has current PTA license (or is license-eligible) in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality physical therapy care within the PTA scope of practice under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluation and with outlining target goals and treatment plans.

Job responsibilities will include:

• To provide quality physical therapy care within the PTA scope of practice under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards

• To assist the Physical Therapist in the evaluation process and with identifying a target list, including short-term goals, long-term goals and treatment plan

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

• Successful passage of the National Physical Therapy Assistant Examination (NPTAE).

• Has current PTA license (or is license-eligible) in Minnesota
